Honeywell Safety Products USA, Inc. Recalls Honeywell® A600 and Stanley®Uvex A600 Safety Goggles, and certain Snap-On® Safety Goggles
Honeywell® A600, Stanley® Uvex A600, and Snap-On® Safety Goggles
This recall involves certain Honeywell® model A600 impact and splash goggles, Stanley® Uvex A600 impact and chemical goggles, and Snap-On® safety goggles manufactured by Foresight Optical (Xiamen) Ltd. The safety goggles are comprised of two components, a single wraparound lens and a retaining strap that holds the lens against the user’s face.
The products’ retaining strap does not comply with the CSA standard’s flammability specifications. If exposed to direct flame for an extended period of time, the strap could burn faster than specified by the standard, posing a potential risk to consumers.
As of December 15, 2017, the company has received no reports of consumer incidents or injuries in Canada related to the use of these products.
